We regret to announce the passing away on the 1st of August 2009 of Prof. N. S. Gorekar, of St. Xavier's College and the Heras Institute. He was interred the next day. He was a renowned scholar and mentor to hundreds of students. His published work is on Islamic Culture and History, Persian Literature, Indo-Iran relations etc.
A Condolence Meeting was held on Thursday 20th August 2009 at 5.30 pm in the College Hall.
We mourn the loss of a great teacher and researcher, and we offer our prayerful support to his family and to the staff of the Heras Institute.
